Fire door inspections are key to ensuring your passive fire protection measures do their job when required. Our fire door inspectors are all formally qualified and trained in fire door inspections, and this ensures compliance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
If your fire door isn't functioning correctly it won't prevent smoke spread past the door, and won't hold back fire to protect the other side of the door - both of which will put occupants at risk of injury, or fatality.
Our fire door inspectors have a vast range of experience in the on going inspection and maintenance of fire doors across a vast range of buildings, including blocks of flats, hospitals, retail stores, commercial units and much more!
What will you check on my fire doors?
Our fire door inspectors check a range of things on the doors, including but not limited to : -

Has the correct fire rating for its location

Is fitted properly, without the type of gaps that can damage the building’s compartmentation

Is not damaged in a way that would impair its performance in the event of a fire

Has the right hardware and closers, and that they function correctly

Has the right intumescent strips

Is properly identified on both the door signage and in the building’s asset register

Where appropriate, has the right type of glazing and that it is fitted correctly
